A further message from the Chairman of the Host Executive Committee

On behalf of the Latin American Society of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition (LASPGHAN) I have a great pleasure and the honor of inviting you all to attend the WCPGHAN3, which will take place at Iguassu Falls, Brazil, August 16-20th, 2008.

We are working with enthusiasm to get the world’s leading international societies of our specialty together in a large meeting, under the umbrella of the Federation of International Societies of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition (FISPGHAN). The meeting at Iguassu Falls will allow us to be in touch with the best physicians and scientists
involved in the field of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition, who will come from every corner of the world.

Thus the Host Executive Committee (HEC) in collaboration with the Scientific Host Executive Committee (SHEC) organized a very attractive scientific program which will run in the most friendly and socially enjoyable environment. The program emphasizes scientific updating and educational knowledge. All topics of current interest have been covered within the 35 Symposia and 5 Plenary Sessions concerning the fields of Gastroenterology, Hepatology, Endoscopy and Nutrition that will be offered to scientists and physicians. A multiprofessional event that will be running in parallel involving Nurses, Dieticians and Psychologists has been organized to stimulate an intense interaction of these health professionals with physicians in order to enhance the communication and bonds among them.

The city of Iguassu Falls was especially chosen to host the World Congress, as it lies in a region which is the border to three countries: Brazil, Argentina and Paraguay. The Iguassu Falls, in the Iguassu River is a system of 275 falls along almost five kilometers in the Brazil-Argentina border, of unique beauty. National parks, where several species of animals and plants can be found, surround the area. Besides the touristic attractions, the city counts with a striking and solid hotel network, which will fulfill you and your families needs. This is why I consider the WCPGHAN3 the time for science, leisure, family and ecology.

Sincerely yours,

Ulysses Fagundes-Neto

An initial  message from the Chairman of the Host Executive Committee

On behalf of the Latin American Society Federation (LASPGHAN) I have a great pleasure and the honor of inviting you all to attend the 3rd World Congress, which will take place at Iguassu Falls, Brazil, August 16-20th, 2008.

We are working with enthusiasm to get the world's leading international societies of our specialty together in a large meeting, under the umbrella of the Federation of International Societies of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition (FISPGHAN). Iguassu Falls' meeting will allow us to be in touch with the best physicians and scientists involved in the field of pediatric gastroenterology, hepatology, and nutrition, that will be coming from every corner of the world.

Thus the Host Executive Committee will build a very attractive scientific program, which will run in the most friendly, socially enjoyable environment, as seen in Boston and Paris. The program will emphasize scientific updating and educational knowledge. All topics of current interest will be covered in the many scientific symposia offered to scientists, physicians, and nurses.

The city of Iguassu Falls was especially chosen to host the 3rd World Congress. The region is the border among three countries: Brazil, Argentina and Paraguay. Iguassu Falls, in the Iguassu River is a system of 275 falls along almost five kilometers in the Brazil-Argentina border, with unique beauty. National parks, where several species of animals and plants can be found, surround the area.

Besides the tourist attractions, the city counts with a nice hotel network, which will fulfill your and your family needs. This is why I consider the 3rd World Congress the time for science, leisure, family and ecology.
